Hudson Dubois
EXTERMINATOR. PROFESSIONAL PROBLEM SOLVER. OCCASIONAL PUBLIC NUISANCE.
Louisiana has a pest problem. Unfortunately, so does the rest of the world. And we're not talking about the kind you solve with a can of bug spray. We're talking hollowed-out livestock, restless graves, and things crawling around in the dark that science would rather not acknowledge. That's when Hudson Dubois gets the call.
Born into a long line of supernatural exterminators, Hudson inherited a family business where the equipment includes salt, silver, iron, and a revolver that's seen more action than most police departments. The hours are terrible, the customers are questionable, and the occupational hazards occasionally have six-inch claws.
Hudson's got a quick grin, a quicker mind, and a habit of making himself comfortable in places where sensible people wouldn't spend five minutes. But don't mistake his easygoing manner for carelessness. When the jokes stop, there's usually a damn good reason.
Every monster leaves evidence.
Every curse has a history.
And every case has a truth that somebody would rather keep buried.
Part detective, part exterminator, Hudson follows the evidence wherever it leads, whether that's a forgotten graveyard, a backwoods farmhouse, or straight into the jaws of something ancient and hungry.
He's not looking for glory. He's got bills to pay, a family name to uphold, and a job that somebody has to do.
